Ebandla Wilderness Camp is situated inside Amakhosi Private Game Reserve.

Amakhosi Reserve is a big five game reserve, with rhino species, buffalo, elephant, leopard, cheetah and a very healthy population of lion on the property. It is also rich in incredible plant and birdlife.

This wilderness camp is a tented one, surrounding a stone seating area, complete with fire pit for cooking and added ambience at night. The view that stretches out beyond this stone platform, is some of the most awe-inspiring African scenery that I have ever laid eyes on. This is everyone that passes through this camp’s special place.

This camp’s facilities are:

  • 2-3-man canvas tents with wooden beds & mattresses inside
  • Thatched toilet & shower blocks (showers look out over incredible views)
  • Hot water facilities available (provided fire is lit!)
  • Handwashing basins
  • Washing line for air drying clothes (after handwashing)
  • Main camp kitchen (meals provided, cooked over an open fire)
  • Library books available on request (for studying)
  • Snack shop available on request (crisps, chocolate, soft drinks & bar drinks)
  • No wifi (wilderness camp, limited signal)
